Missouri is having a hard time finding anyone interested in operating the Cabool motor vehicle/license office.

It’s the second time the Cabool office has been put up for bid this year. A previous request for proposals issued May 5 failed to attract any interest before a June 9 deadline.

Now the state is opening up the process again. The Cabool office is only the third in the state to receive no bids, said Karen King Mitchell, director of the Missouri Department of Revenue.

In fiscal year 2008, the Cabool office conducted 8,787 transactions and generated $29,098 in agent processing fees.

The current fee agent is Rachel Easter.
